Short Bio: Leif Sörnmo is professor in biomedical signal processing at the Department of Biomedical Engineering, Lund University, Sweden, pursuing research in statistical modeling and analysis of biomedical signals, with emphasis on applications in atrial fibrillation and hemodialysis–two areas in which he has published extensively. He is Doctor Honoris Causa at Zaragoza University, Spain, and at Kaunas Technical University, Lithuania, and Associate Editor of IEEE Transactions on Biomedical Engineering (since 2001) and Medical and Biological Engineering & Computing.
