Letter to Attendees: Postponement of the ESGCO 2020 International Conference and Virtual Conference event

Dear ESGCO 2020 Participants and broader ESGCO Community,

We are writing to update you on the revised plan for the ESGCO 2020 International Conference and hope everyone is well during this difficult time.

We thank you for your patience over the last few weeks, which allowed us to evaluate alternative dates to reschedule our meeting in person in fall 2020. 

We have carefully observed the consequences produced by the COVID-19 pandemic and, given the high uncertainty that surrounds the upcoming months, we have made the difficult decision to cancel the in-person meeting and held a virtual presentation of the high-quality contributions that were submitted to the conference.

The virtual conference will be held on July 15, 2020

All refunds have been trasferred back on your account in the past weeks.

Conference Proceedings:

The main conference proceedings will be published by IEEE as originally planned. The conference papers are being processed for publication in IEEE Xplore and should be available online in the coming months.

Journal Special Issues:

Selected contributions submitted to ESGCO 2020 and accepted to be included in the ESGCO 2020 conference proceedings are being invited to submit a full manuscript to one of the following special issues to be published in:

“Philosophical Transactions of the Royal Society A: Mathematical, Physical and Engineering Sciences“, The Royal Society Publishing 

“Biomedical Signal Processing and Control", Elsevier

"Plos Collection: Plos One, Plos Computational Biology, Plos Medicine”, PloS

We hope to see you all in-person as soon as 2021 for a satellite ESGCO symposium which we will try to organize in Pisa, and in 2022 for the next ESGCO meeting.
